It is a very well made necklace. The Buddha is encased so it stays clean and will not get damaged. .
This would make a really nice gift especially if you know someone who practices buddhism. It is handcrafted, or at least it looks like it is.For the price I think it's a nice unique piece of jewelry. Which I think is far superior to a lot of cookie cutter jewelry you find everywhere. The medallion is a bas relief carving in brass and it is on a simple braided (string) which matches well with the modest aesthetic.
