Cross-legged sitting position (Padmasana yoga pose) with his right hand showing Vitarka mudra (tip of the index finger touching the tip of the thumb and form a circle ), and his left hand resting on his lap.
The Buddha brass pendant depicting Vitarka Mudra (gesture) in Padmasana (lotus position) is a symbolic representation of the Buddha's teachings and wisdom.
Vitarka Mudra or Teaching Mudra: The Vitarka Mudra is a hand gesture commonly seen in Buddhist iconography. It is formed by joining the thumb and index finger to create a circle, while the other three fingers remain extended. This mudra symbolizes the transmission of knowledge, intellectual discussion, and the teaching of the Dharma (the Buddha's teachings).
Padmasana: Padmasana, also known as the lotus position, is a seated meditation pose where the legs are crossed, and the feet rest on opposite thighs. It is a symbol of meditation, purity, and spiritual awakening.
Wisdom: The image of the Buddha signifies enlightenment and wisdom. It reminds us of the Buddha's teachings, which offer guidance on how to attain a state of inner peace and understanding.
Teaching and Knowledge: The Vitarka Mudra, with the circle formed by the thumb and index finger, symbolizes the continuous flow of knowledge and the teaching of the Dharma. It suggests that the Buddha's teachings are always available to those seeking spiritual growth and understanding.
Meditation and Serenity: The Padmasana position represents meditation and inner serenity. It reminds us of the importance of cultivating a peaceful mind and finding balance amidst the challenges of life.
Spiritual Journey: Wearing or having this pendant can serve as a reminder of one's own spiritual journey and the aspiration for higher understanding and personal growth.
This Buddha brass pendant with Vitarka Mudra in Padmasana serves as a powerful symbol of Buddhist principles, encouraging the wearer or observer to seek wisdom, engage in self-reflection, and follow the path of compassion and enlightenment.

This is awesome. It looks like an old relic, with nice details and character. This necklace would make a nice gift.
This pendant of the Buddha is off good quality and build. It has substantial weight and feels great in your hands and fingers. There doesn't seem to be any issues on the back of the pendant strength wise if you pull on the cord. This pendant looks to be well made.
Personally I'm very glad of the overall quality of it. My father taught my Buddhism as a philosophy when I was young, and this pendant will now hang with a few other sentimental things around my neck as a constant reminder of family. I'm not a fan of gold or gaudy jewelry, so this is a great alternative.
